La Plata County GIS
Many local departments use Geographical Information Systems ( GIS ) to make critical decisions that impact local residents. For example, GIS is heavily used by the County Assessors Office, the Planning Department, the Office of Emergency Management, and the Road Bridge and Engineering Division.
